ST. GEORGE – An Ivins man was arrested early yesterday morning after a fight broke out in a Dixie Downs residence.

Lt. Joe Hartman said the 26-year-old suspect had been at a friend’s home drinking when he allegedly became belligerent and was asked to leave. Hartman said the man went back to the home 10 minutes later and demanded to be let back in. The man then allegedly kicked in the door and threw a female into the wall.

Hartman said the suspect got into an altercation with another man in the home who restrained the suspect until police arrived.

The man arrested was charged with intoxication, two counts of assault and a 1st-degree felony of aggravated burglary for unlawfully entering a home and committing an assault. His bail has been set at $21,350.
