IVINS — The Center for the Arts at Kayenta is pleased to invite the public for a performance of the heartfelt and hilarious “Jake’s Women” playing Jan. 23-26.
In Neil Simon’s hilarious exploration of lunacy and loss, Utah Shakespeare Festival favorite Peter Sham plays Jake, a writer whose daydreams have become his real life.
In a series of wildly-comic and sometimes moving flashbacks, Jake confronts the unraveling of his marriage, and his mind as reality and fiction start to blur in a show the New York Post reported as “Fantastically funny … Jake’s Women are a wonderful crowd.”
Jake’s “women” are played by an array of local talent, including Sham’s real-life wife, Kirsten, as Jake’s estranged wife, Maggie, and rising stars Isabella Giordano, Maycee Ham, Holly Barrick, Alyson King, Lena Conatser and Ellie Barrick.
Mature language can be expected during the performance.
Current students can purchase tickets for $10, and general admission tickets are $30. Tickets can be purchased online.
Performances are held at the Center for the Arts at Kayenta, 881 Coyote Gulch Court, Ivins. For more information on this or upcoming events call 435-674-2787.
