ST. GEORGE – Officers arrested a 35-year-old St. George man yesterday evening on a sex offender registry charge.

Joel Christopher Best, 600 North 2450 East, St. George, was arrested on a third degree felony and is being held on $5,000 bail.

The St. George Police Department was unavailable for comment on the details of the arrest, however, public information shows that Best was a registered sex offender in Florida from a conviction in 1996. His records show two counts of sexual battery. No further details were available.
