Utah Coalition Against Pornography to hold 2nd annual ‘Rally for Hope and Healing’

ST. GEORGE — The 2nd Annual “Rally for Hope and Healing” sponsored by The Utah Coalition Against Pornography will be held Nov. 13 from 10a.m. to noon at the Dixie State University Cox Performing Arts Center, located at 325 South 700 East, St. George, Utah. Doors will open at 9:30 a.m.

Tickets are required for entry and are available at utahcoalition.org. Tickets are free for students and $10 for adults. This event will be livestreamed. Live stream connection will be sent upon registration. Masks are encouraged. There will be a special tribute to the late Collin Kartchner.

Hear from expert Christy Kane, PsyD, PhD, CMHC, an expert on how electronics are affecting the human brain. Her discussion is titled “Healthy Sexuality in an Electronic Sexual World.”

Also on the agenda is Smith Alley, teenage speaker and advocate against the harmful effects of pornography and social media as he discusses “Healing Papercuts: A Teenager’s Aspirations for the Future Generations.”

Jeff Ford, LMFT, family therapist specializing in the treatment of the harmful effects of sexual addiction and Donald Hilton, MD Neurosurgeon and author of “He Restoreth My Soul” will discuss “Pornography: Development and Brain Effects.”

Elder Michael Wilstead, Area Seventy in the Utah Area, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will lead a “Panel Discussion on Dating and Pornography.”
