Unleash your inner artist at Washington City Arts Council’s oil painting workshop

Have you ever scrolled through social media and wished you could paint like the artists you see there? Well, here’s your chance! The Washington City Arts Council is hosting a two-day oil painting workshop on March 27-28 from 6-8 p.m. at the Relief Society Hall in Washington City.

Join Jerome Quenneville as he guides you through the basic elements of oil painting. Whether you’re an experienced artist or an absolute beginner, Jerome will show you how to create a unique painting using your own reference photos.

On day one, learn how to draw, compose and understand values, and then start painting from your own reference photos. On day two, you’ll focus on color and edges as Jerome shows you how to colorize your monochrome paintings. You’ll also learn about finishing a painting, varnishing and framing.

The workshop is limited to only 20 participants, so be sure to register soon on our Facebook event (click-Find Tickets) by sending an email to washingtoncityartscouncil@gmail.com or calling Melanee at 507-327-9404. The cost is just $50, and all basic art supplies are provided.

Don’t miss this amazing opportunity to unleash your inner artist! Register now. Jerome has traveled the world, painting along the way. Now, he is excited to share his skills and passion for art with you. See his work online at jeromequennevillefineart.com and get ready to paint like a pro!
