ST. GEORGE — Southern Utah Home Builders Association (SUHBA) held “SUHBA for Service Day” on Friday, May 20, 2022. Over 130 SUHBA member volunteers came together to help seven local nonprofit organizations and donated over 520 hours! The local non-profits include Dove Center, Doctors’ Volunteer Clinic, Habitat for Humanity of SW Utah, Root for Kids, Switchpoint, Utah Food Bank, and the Washington County Children’s Justice Center. Over $15,000 in financial and material donations were made to support various improvement projects.
These outstanding organizations are vital to our community and serve tens of thousands of people in need. SUHBA members care about their community and strive to reach out to help those in need.
130 volunteers from 38 SUHBA member companies (listed below) came to help with various projects ranging from installing doors, grading and preparing for landscaping, painting interiors and exteriors, building a shade structure, power washing the exterior of a building, replacing carpet, cleaning, creating a sidewalk play area, planting flowers, and boxing up food.
All these outstanding volunteers worked for a combined total of over 520 hours! Some members also donated financial resources to cover the materials needed for these projects. SUHBA members Work Together to Build a Better Community! Southern Utah Home Builders Care!
