ST. GEORGE — Family man and running enthusiast, Scott Stephan is set to complete his 20th full marathon Saturday at the St. George Marathon. Stephan became a marathoner back in 2000 at the St. George Marathon where his young family — wife and five children — saw him complete 26.2 miles for the very first time. This weekend Scott will run the St. George course for the 10th time, now with six grandchildren, two sons-in-law and one daughter-in-law added to his finish line greeting party.

From Southern California, Stephan’s loyal participation at the St. George Marathon over the years has turned into a family reunion for the Stephan family. Stephan and his “family following” travel hundreds of miles from different places across the west to cheer him on and enjoy Southern Utah.
