Starting Monday, Oct. 17, Firehouse Subs Franchisees Cary and Cynthia Clark will host a two-week donation drive at their Cedar City restaurant in support of Canyon Creek Services, an advocacy organization that addresses domestic violence and sexual assault across several counties, including Iron County.
“Since joining the Firehouse Subs Family nearly three years ago, we have taken great pride in providing heartfelt service to the many organizations that give so much support to our community,” said Cynthia Clark. “In honor of October’s Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we look forward to working alongside our guests in collecting critical items for Canyon Creek Services to support them in the vital role they play in our area.”
Critical items needed include new, unused and sealed:
- Disinfectant wipes
- Toilet paper, paper towels
- Full-size bottles of lotion
- Pillows
- Headphones
- Medium-sized medical gloves
- Multipacks of lip balm, hair ties/elastics and hair clips
- Reading glasses
- Phone cards
In return for their generosity, donors who bring in a new and sealed donation will receive a free combo (chips or dessert and a medium drink) with the purchase of a medium or large sub.
The need for Canyon Creek Services is clear; in just 2021, the organization served more than 700 clients, and received more than 660 calls to the organization’s emergency hotline.
Across Utah, the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation has awarded over $1.1 million in grants. Locally, Iron County Sheriff’s Office, Cedar City Police Department and Cedar City Fire Department have received thousands in life-saving supplies.
