Kundalini Yoga and Gong Meditation

Dr. Karambir Singh Khalsa hosts an evening of kundalini yoga and gong meditation using his two 40-inch gongs on Dec. 8 at 7 p.m.

Dr. Khalsa recently completed a doctoral degree in clinical psychology and conducted dissertation research which found that listening to a recorded gong meditation daily for two weeks was correlated with lower trait anxiety when compared to controls who listened to water sounds or went out activities of daily living.

The event will take place at Gaia Tree Yoga Shala located at 62 E. 130 South, in Virgin, Utah. The cost to attend is $20 advance booking, $25 on the day of the event. Payment can be made directly to the studio via VenMo: elise-mitchell-2 with the comment “sound bath event”.

Attendees should bring a yoga mat and blanket to cover up during the gong meditation.
