Green comet public viewing

Weather permitting, the St. George Astronomy Group will offer telescopic viewing of the Comet C/2022 E3, Friday, Feb. 3. The viewing time runs from 7-9:30 p.m.; the viewing location is Red Mountain Trailhead, which is North of Diamond Valley on the West side of the road. Along with the Comet viewing astronomy group members will also provide viewing of deep-sky objects such as the Constellation Andromeda, the Orion Nebula and other objects.

Weather permitting means it is not raining, snowing, sleeting, high winds and/or overcast conditions. It also means if the conditions make viewing virtually impossible, can (and will) cancel the event without notice. The group recommends that interested viewers check the weather before departing and dress accordingly: cold weather is uncomfortable, not a show stopper.

The group has its own website: sgag.club on which has more information about the club and several interesting, informative links on astronomy. It is free to the public.
