A Fantasy Summer opens with Alice in Wonderland

HURRICANE – Down the Rabbit Hole!

Everyone knows the story. Alice falls down a rabbit hole into a crazy world filled with strange and peculiar creatures. But whether you’ve read the book or watched the many versions on stage or screen, you have never seen an “Alice in Wonderland” as fun and nutty as this.

Starring dancer/singer Haylee Ford as the befuddled Alice, the production also features Will Hobson as the crazed Mad Hatter, Alek Jordon as the even crazier March Hare and the incredible talents of Britnee Hobson as the psychotic Queen of Hearts.

Opening Monday Emerson-Smith Media will bring this favorite tale to life at the Hurricane Art Center in Hurricane.

Alice is also the opening show for the new Summer Stock theatre program: A Fantasy Summer, held at the art center and featuring three outstanding productions before the end of August. These shows include The Holy Grail and The Little Prince, as well as Alice in Wonderland.

Alice in Wonderland runs July 20- Aug. 1 with no shows on July 24  and 25, as well as Sundays. Show times are 7 p.m. nightly with 3 p.m. matinees on Saturdays.

Opening night for Alice in Wonderland will also feature an after-show audience open house to introduce the Summer Stock program to the community as well as new theatre and arts programs that are coming to Hurricane.
