Emceesquare Media announces new associates, new projects

ST. GEORGE – Emceesquare Media & Events of St. George has engaged two new associates and acquired new projects.

Cindy Mortensen has been hired as Emceesquare director of events. From Mesa, Arizona, Mortensen brings 12 years experience working in marketing and event management.

Lil Barron of St. George joins the team as Emceesquare account executive. Previously, Barron worked for American Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity and Worker’s Compensation Fund. She has a long history of leadership and community involvement in Southern Utah. Barron is also account manager for Emceesquare client Southern Utah LIVE Television Network.

Emceesquare is a comprehensive creative services company specializing in marketing, event management and media production. With more than 20 years experience in higher education, corporate and agency communication, founder Melynda Thorpe emphasizes a multimedia approach to communication strategy.

New projects for Emceesquare include a documentary film celebrating Washington County School District’s first 100 years, and designing a new monthly Main Street festival to be held on the first Friday of each month in conjunction with St. George downtown business merchants.

Emceesquare is the marketing and advertising agency of record for Southern Utah LIVE Television Network. Recently, Emceesquare completed a documentary short film to assist in telling the story of America’s newest national monument, Tule Springs Fossil Beds in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Emceesquare team members are Creative Director Keith R Owen, Director of Events Cindy Lewis, Account Executive Lil Barron, Art Director Shara Dursteler, and Director of Advertising Amy Thorpe. Interns are Kylie Kennedy, Lance Claymore, and Christie Gubler.
