Big O Tires’ partnership with Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation continues

ST. GEORGE — Big O Tires franchise advisory council recently extended their national charity partnership with Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation. The foundation benefits research and care for children with pediatric cancer and has been nationally featured on Oprah, The Today Show, CBS Early Show, Time Magazine, People Magazine, USA Today, and others. Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation was started by a young girl named Alexandra “Alex” Scott at age 4, who while suffering from neuroblastoma, a form of aggressive childhood cancer, began raising funds for research with her own lemonade stand.

Mark Griffin, Loy Dobson, and Steve Pickett, Big O Tires’ Owners in Cedar City, St. George, and Mesquite, would like to thank the communities for all of the tremendous support to this incredibly worthy cause. Being able to help those individuals affected by childhood cancer is an honorable act of kindness and generosity.

In August 2004, at the age of 8, Alex passed away knowing that with the help of others, she had raised over $1 million to help find a cure for all kinds with cancer. The charity continues to grow in funds raised and donated to research by millions of dollars annually.

During the month of March, Big O Tires collects funds in arrears for the 2016 National Charity Marketing Program. Over $50,000 will be raised to help grow the 2016 fund. Remarkably, from 2006-2016, Big O Tires franchisees, customers and Big O corporate have contributed $550,000 to Alex’s Lemonade Stand. Being able to help those individuals affected by childhood cancer is an honorable act of kindness and generosity. Together, we’re able to make a significant impact towards the fight against this awful disease, and the goodwill generated is notable for the entire Big O Tires family.
