“Coach (Jon) Judkins has done a tremendous job over the years at helping players develop from all skill levels,” Trailblazers assistant coach Brock Staheli told St. George News.

The camp will feature two sessions each day. The first is 8:30 -11:30 a.m. and is for players in kindergarten through fifth grade.

The second session each day runs from 12:30-3:30 p.m. and is for sixth through eighth graders.

The youth basketball camp takes place at the Human Performance Center on the Utah Tech campus.

“They will have the opportunity to spend time with the best coaches in St. George and have an opportunity to continue improving their game,” Staheli said.

He added that each participant receives a camp T-Shirt.

“They will leave having had a good time,” Staheli said.

According to a press release, Utah Tech signed former Utah State wing Dallin Grant.

The 6-foot-8 Grant is no stranger to Southern Utah. During his senior season at Cedar High School, Grant helped the Reds win their first state championship in 25 years and was named the 2021 Utah Player of the Year.

Grant will have four years of eligibility in St. George after having redshirted a year with the Aggies.

Also transferring to Utah Tech is 6-foot-5 guard Justin Bieker, who will have one year of eligibility after playing four seasons for San Francisco.

“Justin is a great addition to our program,” Trailblazers coach Jon Judkins said in a press release.

“He plays with great energy and instincts. Justin is a high IQ player that plays the game the right way,” Judkins said. “He comes from a great program and will bring age and experience to our roster.”

Bieker averaged 1.2 points and 0.8 rebounds in 28 games off the bench for the Dons last season.
