“This event is us giving back to the community for welcoming us in,” said Christine Wellington, vice president of marketing at Standard Restaurant Supply. “There’s no other store like us in the area; it’s a different experience. Anybody that’s a foodie, likes to cook or spends any amount of time in the kitchen, it’s fun to just walk the store and see the different things.”
Although Standard Restaurant Supply caters to restaurant needs, the entirety of its warehouse is accessible to the public, offering a shopping experience beyond the ordinary. Although Standard Restaurant Supply is a recent addition to St. George, the company has a rich legacy tracing back 40 years to its first flagship location in Salt Lake City. Branch manager Noel Brown echoed that statement, adding that sales have tripled and the feedback from the community has been extremely positive.
“We’ve had a good report from the community,” Brown said. “Everybody loves to work here. It’s just been a good environment, a lot of excited customers, and that’s not just restaurants.”
