The event is as competitive as you want it to be. You can go for the gold and push your body to the limit or hang back and get muddy at your own pace.

“This year, we’ll have the biggest layout that the event has ever seen,” said Kyn Hennessy, external events manager for Balance of Nature.

If you want, you can sign up to run with a group or bring your friends to run as a team. The Hurricane Mud Run is designed for all ages, and kids 11 and under run free!

Go to HurricaneMudRun.com and sign up today. As a thank you to our local heroes, Balance of Nature is offering free registration to all first responders. Come to the Balance of Nature building, located at 1568 S. River Road in St. George, to receive your first responder discount code.

Mud runners who want to show off their skills can register for the competitive heat that starts at 11:30 a.m. Participants can also choose one of the general heats that begin every 15 minutes starting at 8:30 a.m. Check-in begins at 8 a.m.

Getting muddy is just the beginning, however. You can also enjoy on-site food trucks and live music. New this year, the event will offer a massive mud slide and play area for the kids.

This year’s course will be bigger and better than ever, with 29 obstacles to tackle. Nearly 1,000 runners have already registered.

“It’s a great community gathering opportunity,” Hennessy said. “This event has been loved in the Hurricane area for over a decade.”

The Hurricane Mud Run is located on West 3000 South in Hurricane. From the Southern Parkway, head east on 3000 South and follow the signs. Same-day registration is available. Questions about the race can be emailed to [email protected].

We thank our local sponsors Balance of Nature, Sunroc, Westland Construction and Lin’s Market for making this year incredible.
