PROVO — Southern Utah high school track and field teams brought home five state titles plus two runner-up trophies on Saturday.
In the 4A classification, the Snow Canyon boys and the Desert Hills girls each won the state championship. The Warrior boys scored 214 points to runner-up Cedar’s 97. And the Desert Hills girls finished with 108.5 points, while runner-up Green Canyon scored 97.
Also earning first place trophies were the Kanab boys in 2A and the Panguitch girls and boys in 1A. The Bobcat girls won their 10th straight state title, while the Panguitch boys edged past Hildale’s Water Canyon High by seven points, 124 to 117.
