Patricia Kathyrn Geesman

April 22, 1939-Feb. 10, 2023

Patricia Kathyrn Geesman, wife of Eldon Ross Geesman and mother to her three children, passed away on Feb. 10, 2023, at the age of 83, after a long struggle with cognitive decline. She was in hospice care at Red Cliffs Health and Rehab under the guidance of Intermountain Homecare and Hospice.

Words cannot describe the kind, loving care and comfort the nursing staff provided. We are so grateful for their compassion and dedication to their patients and the family. We love them with all our heart for their patience and kindness.

Patricia was born in Julesburg, Colorado, to Jess Lawrence and Laura Elizabeth Kauffman on April 22, 1939. Shortly thereafter her family relocated to Cheyenne, Wyoming. Along the way her parents added three sisters and a brother to the growing family: Joyce, Larry, Virginia and Susan. She completed her high school education and started work as a telephone operator for AT&T.

She married Eldon Ross Geesman on Jan. 21, 1957 and welcomed their first child Randell Ross later that year. Her second son Ritchie Dana was added to the family in 1958 and her third child Lori Lynn was born in 1963.

She worked part-time and raised the family while Eldon attended the University of Wyoming. Upon graduation the family moved to Southern California where she continued to work as a receptionist, and managed the home front and raised the children. She has three wonderful children that were nurtured throughout their life by their mother’s hard work and dedication. Her legacy is reflected in their character and citizenship.

Randell resides in Santa Ana, California with his wife Mary; Ritchie resides in Hurricane, Utah with his wife Stacey and Lori resides in Bend, Oregon, with her husband, Gary.

She has four grandchildren: Isaac Geesman of Bend, Oregon; Ross Geesman of Los Angeles, California; Cate Forston of Portland, Oregon; and Evan Geesman of Santa Ana, California.

She was a strong believer in Jesus Christ and the Christian faith and was instrumental in encouraging Eldon to become a believer. As a result of her faith commitment upon her death, she was welcomed to her new home in Heaven by our Father and His Son, and reunited with her earthly father and mother and her brother who preceded her in death.

She will be greatly missed by her family and extended family. This past January she celebrated 66 years of love and devotion with Eldon that started in 1957. They both made a commitment at an early age that lasted a lifetime; stayed the course, finished the race, and now can rest in peace with our Heavenly Father, relatives and friends.

She is survived by her sisters Joyce Kauffman (Crosswell), Virginia Kauffman (Freeman), Susan Kauffman (Wieland) and sister-in-law Marilyn Kauffman, wife of deceased brother Larry Kauffman.

Special recognition to the lead Intermountain Hospice Team who cared for my lovely wife: Kandelee, Liz, Kelly, April, and Chaplain Kirk. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We so much appreciate your kindness, compassion, and your love.

A private memorial celebration of life will occur at a later date.

Arrangements are under the care of Pine View Mortuary, 435-986-4222. Visit the Pine View Mortuary website for full obituary and funeral service listing.
