Kaden Jones Bennett

Jan. 26, 2005 – Feb. 1, 2023

Kaden Jones Bennett, 18, passed away unexpectedly on Feb. 1, 2023. Kaden was born on Jan. 26, 2005, in Las Vegas to a loving birth mother who then courageously placed him in the arms of his forever parents, Steven and Tonia (Jones) Bennett.

Kaden attended Diamond Valley Elementary, Tonaquint Intermediate, Dixie Middle, and Dixie High School where he competed in high school football, basketball, and track.

His hops and speed were legendary. Kaden loved anime, all things Marvel, cats (especially Horatio), and his dog, Benny. He had the biggest heart. His compassion for others had no limitations; whether it was for a bird’s egg that had fallen from a tree, a homeless man in need of a jacket, or a refugee far from home.

Kaden was a friend to everyone he met. His non-judgmental character and his ability to make others laugh gave him an unlimited number of friends. Did I mention, he could make you laugh!?

His smile lit up any room he entered, and he was the superstar of every party. To know Kaden was to be his friend for life. Kaden had a smart, gifted mind. He knew so many facts about so many different subjects that he could have been a trivia game show winner.

He was the king of Sunday evening game nights around the kitchen table, Dominion and Monopoly being his favorites. Though Kaden left this earth too young and before any of us were ready to let him go; he left an impact on those within his sphere that will last forever. His big heart will never die.

It will live on through all who were blessed to truly know him, especially those who loved him best, his parents and siblings: Emily (Matt), Hanover, Germany; Devin (Ali), Arlington, Virginia; Tyler (Mishayla), Jace, Louie, Brinlee, and Robbie (St George, Utah); and Ethan, Raleigh North Carolina LDS mission. Though his nieces and nephews (Emery, Liam, Lena, Andee, and more to come) will grow up without him, he will never be forgotten or far from them.

Kaden is also survived by his grandparents: Charlene Ronnell Jones, Monroe, Utah; Clarence (Ben) and Janet Bennett, Spring, Texas; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his brother, Steven Jr.; cousin, Alexis Jones; and grandfather, Larry Jones.

Funeral services will be held Tues., Feb. 7, 2023, at 11 a.m. at 930 S Morningside Drive. A visitation will be held Monday, Feb. 6, 2023, from 6-8 p.m. at Spilsbury Mortuary. Interment will take place in Tonaquint Cemetery.

Arrangements are made under the direction of Spilsbury Mortuary, 110 S Bluff Street, St. George, Utah, (435) 673-2454. Family and friends are invited to share a memory on Kaden’s obituary page atwww.spilsburymortuary.com
