Rosario Isabel Salazar

June 16, 1939-Jan. 21, 2023

We are sad to announce the peaceful passing of Rosario Isabel Salazar on Jan. 21, 2023. She will be missed by her family and friends.

Rosario Salazar is survived by her two children Ricardo Salazar and Rosanne (Hal) Bailey; four grandchildren Kristen Montero, Jared (Brianna) Bailey, Allison (Jordan) Lysenko and Rachel (Aaron) Taylor; and six great-grandchildren Beau and Cora Bailey, Mia and Miles Lysenko, and Rose and Kit Taylor. She is preceded in death by her husband Cirilo, her brother Alfredo, her niece Christina and her brother Marc Gonzalez.

Rosie was happiest with family, caring for her husband and children and enjoying quiet time in her home. She loved to cook Mexican food, as well as other types of dishes, read and spend time at the beach. She was always interested in finding out more about those with whom she visited. She was a spiritual woman and enjoyed learning from religious and self-improvement radio programs.

Rosario was born in Los Angeles, California, on June 16, 1939. As she was several years younger than her two brothers, she was the princess of the household. She met her future husband, Cirilo Salazar, when a date was arranged by her mother and her mother’s best friend. They shared 64 ½ happy years together.

Rosie worked at Robinsons Department Store as an office worker, and as a bilingual interviewer. She and her husband Ciril, retired in Leisure World, Seal Beach, California, and later moved to The Haven at Sky Mountain Assisted Living facility in Hurricane, Utah, to be closer to their daughter.

Arrangements are under the care of Pine View Mortuary, 435-986-4222. Visit the Pine View Mortuary website for full obituary and funeral service listing.
