David George Passey, 73, passed away Nov. 27, 2022, in St George, Utah. He was born Dec. 18, 1948, in Worcester, England, to Frederick John and Mary McGregor Passey.

David was married to Mary Ann Mortimer for 55 years. They were married in Cheltenham England July 8, 1967.

He is survived by his loving wife Mary, son David J. Passey (Leia Passey) Megan, Jessica and Jordan; daughter Juliet Powell (Shane) Taylor, Madison and Brooklyn; brothers John W. Passey (Charlotte) Alec Passey (Cora)and sister Lorraine Kraft (Robert).

David was born and raised in Worcester, England, and attended Christopher Whitehead Boys School. He served in many capacities throughout his life in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Dave enjoyed meeting and working with people and was a strong contributor to many successful operations. He emigrated to the USA with his wife and son in June 1970 and became a general contractor and worked at Burton Lumber for 25-plus years.

Dave was a perfectionist and it showed in his craft of building many beautiful log cabins. He enjoyed golf, soccer, rugby and loved to travel. He had visited 48 states. He loved to spend time with his family and friends of which he was blessed with many. Dave was very witty and the life of the party. Dave was an avid sports and news watcher. He hated bugs of any kind.

Funeral service will be held Monday, Dec. 5, at 11 a.m. with a viewing from 9:30-10:45 a.m. at the LDS Chapel located at 1285 N Bluff Street St., George, Utah. Interment will at the Tonaquint Cemetery under the direction of McMillan Mortuary, 435-688-888
