Hedgehog Electric & Solar is proud to present the 2022 St. George Christmas Light Spectacular, on display now through Jan. 1. The tour features over 20 homes decked out with dazzling lights and decorations. Many of these displays require hundreds of hours of dedication and tens of thousands of twinkling lights.

HedgeHog Electric & Solar has been delivering quality electrical services to customers throughout Southern Utah for more than a decade. As electricians and solar installers, they felt like creating a map of Christmas lights was a natural fit for the business.

“We want to make this a tradition that’s ingrained in the community, something people know will always be there,” a HedgeHog representative said. “We really enjoy doing it every year.”

Now in its ninth year, the Christmas Light Spectacular takes families on a festive journey from as far west as Santa Clara to as far east as Toquerville. Whether this will be your first time cruising or you look forward to it every holiday season, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

The Christmas Light Spectacular is a fun, safe holiday activity that families can enjoy together. Print out the map using the link above or follow the turn-by-turn directions provided by Google. Expect a combination of returning favorites and new masterpieces on this year’s tour.

Along with enjoying amazing light displays, everyone touring the festive homes will have a chance to win prizes by sharing selfies that show the spirit of the season. Simply take a picture in front of any map location and post it to Hedgehog Electric & Solar’s Facebook or Instagram pages using the hashtag #StGeorgeChristmasMap to play along.

The company is offering a special incentive to participants who dress in their holiday best, whether that’s elf hats, Santa suits, ugly Christmas sweaters or even a Grinch costume. One randomly selected festive submission will win the grand prize of a $500 Visa gift card. Two additional participants – whether they feel like dressing up or not – will be randomly drawn to receive $250 Visa gift cards. Submissions will be accepted through Jan. 1.

“Make it a tradition, something you can enjoy together as a family,” HedgeHog said. “Embrace the contest part of it and get dressed up. It’s a fun, simple, free thing to do.”

HedgeHog Electric & Solar is passionate about giving back to the community, especially during the holidays. For every new follow on Instagram they receive from the community before the end of the year, the company will donate $1 to the Dove Center, an organization working to provide shelter and advocacy for survivors of domestic abuse and sexual violence in the St. George area.

If you’re looking for even more family fun this holiday season, come to the Christmas Light Map Kickoff Event at the Atwood Innovation Plaza at Utah Tech University on Monday, Nov. 28, from 6-9 p.m. Enjoy an evening with Santa and Mrs. Claus, live holiday music, hot cocoa and cookies, and the first 400 children will be able to decorate a Christmas tree ornament to take home.
