Jarrad Ross Mickelson

Jarrad Ross Mickelson, 37, passed away in Colorado Springs, Colorado, on Nov. 3, 2022. He was born March 20, 1985, in St. George, Utah, to Greg C. and Terri Cannon Mickelson. He grew up in the Middleton area of St. George where he made good friends playing youth sports, video games, basketball and swimming in Grandma and Grandpa Mickelson’s pool.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and going to the Mountain Man Rendezvous with family and friends. He had a love for basketball and would get together often with whoever was available to play at the park, church gym or wherever. Jarrad had a love for music and loved sharing with his brother and sister. He loved watching DC cartoons. His favorite football team was the Dallas Cowboys and boy did his dad love to give him a hard time about it. He had a quick sense of humor and loved to make people smile and he gave the best hugs. He was always so positive in life.

Jarrad graduated from Pine View High School in f 2003 where he played football and wrestled. After graduating high school, he attended massage therapy school in Salt Lake City. After graduation, he took a job at a resort in Colorado Springs and later went to work for a chiropractor’s office where he did massages.

Jarrad met a wonderful lady in Colorado Springs and from this a beautiful baby girl was born. Skylee Rae was his whole world. He loved her so much and was so proud of her. He loved every minute he had with her. He looked forward to reconnecting with her. He will forever be missed and in our hearts. We love you and look forward to the day we can see you again.

Jarrad is survived by his daughter Skylee Rae Mickelson; parents Greg and Terri; brother Kash (Paula); sister Carlee (Ian) Crawford; grandmother Rosie Cannon; niece Kinlee Clare Crawford; nephews Reece and Radly Mickelson; aunts and uncles Vickie Walters, Richard (Marie) Mickelson, Edward Mickelson, Arlene Cannon and Troy (Alica) Cannon; and many cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Richard Ross and Virginia Mickelson, David Clarence Cannon; aunt Ruth Ann Mickelson; and uncles Tracy Cannon, Terry Mickelson and Benny Walters.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Nov. 28, at 1 p.m. in the Metcalf Mortuary Chapel, 288 West St. George Blvd., St. George, Utah. Visitations will be held Sunday from 5-7 p.m. and Monday, prior to services, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. both at the Mortuary. Interment will be in the Washington City Cemetery, 300 Park View Drive, Washington, Utah.
