ST. GEORGE —When a domestic violence survivor decided to dive deep into her life’s purpose, she discovered a new way of healing. And she’s now sharing that with the world.

St. George resident Lori Kinsey, an advanced spiral practitioner, said this specialized spiral technique consists of seven different models that are combined to provide healing and a higher state of consciousness.

“It’s energy clearing. It’s mind, body, soul. It’s embodiment. It goes down to a cellular level,” Kinsey said.“It’s hard for some people to understand what this is. It’s super advanced and super powerful. The reason why I like this modality is that we literally get to the root of emotional imprints and conditioning.”

These “emotional imprints” occur from the time of birth, when we come out brand new to the world. She said throughout life’s journey, whether through parents, school, religion or other life experiences, conditioning takes place. By the time children become adults, they are conditioned into what feel they’re supposed to be.

During the spiral process, Kinsey said transformations occur quickly. She also specializes in bringing visuals to life, such as the desire to start a business, write a book or find the love of your life – goals that may initially feel unobtainable.

Kinsey’s journey to learning the spiral technique began during her first marriage 20 years ago. She said she found herself in an extreme domestic violence situation, but due to conditioning from her Japanese background and other life experiences, she didn’t initially recognize it as abuse.

“I knew it was a toxic relationship and I knew I probably wasn’t being treated the best, but zero clue this was domestic violence, let alone abuse,” she said. “I was just like, ‘This is life. This is our relationship’ type thing.”

On the outside, Kinsey said her life appeared to be perfect – happily married, a homeowner and goal-oriented in her career. When she chose to leave the marriage and began to speak out, people around her were shocked and many didn’t believe her.

“Because if you’re a strong woman, then why would you be in a relationship like that?” Kinsey said.

She worked on herself after the marriage ended, and when her children started to leave the house a few years ago, she dived deeper into who she was and who she wanted to be. When she discovered the spiritual modality of the therapeutic spiral model, she said realized the deep conditioning that had formed as a result of her life experiences.

Before starting the spiral technique, she found herself scared and “acting small,” not wanting to be seen or heard. By the time she completed the process, she knew her purpose was to be seen, share her story and impact the lives of those around her.

“With spiral, you transform very quickly, and I did,” she said. “It’s like seven years of therapy and healing, so within a few months I was this person, and now I’m this person.”

Learning directly from the founder and creator of the spiral technique,  Kinsey made the decision to quit her job and became a full-time spiral practitioner. At the time, she was only one of three licensed practitioners on the continent. Through her own life experiences and her certified training, she now helps leaders around the world while specializing in helping domestic violence and human trafficking survivors heal and move forward.

Kinsey started the Red Lotus Life Facebook group – a resource and community for domestic violence survivors and others who have experienced trauma – which initially started as a local group with workshops and has since expanded to an online community with members from all over the world.

The process

Kinsey said the spiral technique is a “soul journey” with a total of eight sessions that can be done in as little as 12 weeks or up to six months, depending on the conditioning being unwoven from the central nervous system. During the sessions, which generally last two to three hours, Kinsey uses kinesiology and muscle testing to find the break in the bioenergetic field, then utilizes the body’s meridian points to release trauma and deep-conditioning.

“We just allow emotions and feelings to arise, so it can be done one of two ways: memories that rise and we unpack those memories, or if somebody’s really embodied, then they’re able to find where it’s stored in the body and release it that way,” she said.

Once participants are at a higher vibration and remove feelings of unworthiness and doubt, Kinsey said they begin to attract good into their lives and many find themselves losing weight, gaining financially and achieving better, more intimate relationships with healthy communication.

“It’s like taking the handbrake off of your life,” she said. “You start to actually co-create your life versus react, so you come from a state of responding and creating versus defensive action.”

With a goal to serve others, Kinsey offers scholarship programs and tiered pricing, allowing individuals to pay what they can afford.

Kinsey plans to continue working with domestic violence survivors and hopes to provide workshops for The Blue Butterfly House soon. Guests can attend her “Say Yes to Soul Fall Immersion Retreat” in Springdale next year on Oct. 5-8, 2023.
