ST. GEORGE — When a restaurant gives you an apron to enjoy your food, you know it’s going to be good. “What’s on the Menu” host Sheldon Demke was in the mood for some seafood this week, so he took his pals Nikki Hope and Mark Musgrave to check out one of St. George’s newest eateries, Rusty Crab Daddy.

Rusty Crab Daddy, located on Bluff Street, serves up high-quality seafood in a contemporary setting. The atmosphere is family-friendly, and kids are sure to love digging into the enormous seafood boils.

The boils are loaded with every kind of seafood you could ask for: lobster, shrimp, crawfish and, of course, crab! They’re huge and filled to the brim with plenty of seafood along with corn, red potatoes, boiled eggs and sausage.

“The fact that I got that quality of seafood, and I don’t look out that window and see the ocean, is incredible to me,” Musgrave said.

The trio also tried a basket of fried oysters. All baskets are served with hush puppies and your choice of French fries, Cajun fries, sweet potato fries or fried rice.

Rusty Crab Daddy lives up to its name with impressively sized king crab legs with tons of meat to offer. All that meat is supple, buttery and seasoned to perfection.

“I’ve never had crab that you don’t have to dip,” Demke said. “I mean, it was buttery the moment it came out.”

If you’ve got a hankering for seafood in Southern Utah, sail into Rusty Crab Daddy and get your fill.
