Pearlie Louise Hert

Jan. 13, 1928-Sept. 25, 2022

Pearlie Louise Hert passed away Sept. 25, 2022, in St. George, Utah. She was born on Jan. 13, 1928, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, to parents Wellie Richardson and Ida Isabella. She married Glen E. Hert in Poplar Bluff in 1942.

Pearlie was an incredibly loving and nurturing person. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and sister. She was a faithful individual who put energy into every single one of her loved ones. One of her most precious expressions of love was pouring her heart and soul into the food that nourished her family.

She had quite the proclivity for cooking, nobody who was familiar with her food could say a negative remark regarding her mashed potatoes and gravy, as well as her boysenberry cobblers and pecan pies. Pearlie was one of the most supportive persons you would ever meet; she was the foundation of her family.

Pearlie and Glen moved from Poplar Bluff to Sunnymead, California, in 1952 and lived there for 50 years. Pearlie and Glen had one son. She worked as a supervisor at Lilly Tulip Cup Factory in Riverside, California, for 23 years. Pearlie and  Glen liked to camp, taking the grandkids to campsites all over California then finally retiring at the Lake Elsinore RV Park.

Pearlie was preceded in death by her husband Glen, brothers Milton and  Gene and her parents Wellie and Ida.

She is survived by son Ron Hert (wife Norma) of St. George; three grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild and countless friends over the years.

Services will be held on Oct. 7, 11 a.m.  It will be a graveside service at Toquerville Cemetery, 119 North Toquer Blvd., Toquerville, Utah.

Interment will be at Toquerville Cometary, under the direction of McMillan Mortuary, 435-688-8880.

Condolences may be shared on the McMillan Mortuary website.
