Airbags fail to deploy during 2-vehicle crash at intersection of River Road and Medical Center Drive

ST. GEORGE — A driver was cited for following too closely as a result of a rear-end collision Tuesday at the intersection of River Road and Medical Center Drive.

The incident occurred at 5:41 p.m. when, according to St. George Police, a female driving a Toyota Camry rear-ended a male driving a Pontiac Firebird. 

Neither vehicle’s airbags deployed. The female driver smashed her upper lip on the Camry’s steering wheel at the moment of collision. Neither driver accepted medical assistance via ambulance. The accident occurred at 5:41 p.m.

There were no passengers in either vehicle.

Freedom Towing and Zion Motors handled the car towing and street cleanup.
