Oct. 9, 2002-June 21, 2022

Jacob Victor Reitenauer, age 19, passed peacefully in his St George home surrounded by loved ones on June 21, 2022. Jake was born on Oct 9, 2002, in Baltimore, Maryland. 

Jacob was a recent graduate from Pine View High School, where he was a member of the Junior ROTC and had been recognized as student of the month. 

Jacob’s interests were very diverse; he loved science, whether it was space, engineering or physics; he loved art and film, crafting and creating, where he would use his imagination to make the most intricate Lego creations. Jake loved to game, on the xBox, phone, computer, basically anywhere he could find Minecraft or Terraria. 

Most of all, Jacob loved nature and the outdoors. Vicki, Ray and Jacob frequently hiked, four-wheeled, camped and kayaked — his favorite activity. 

Jacob is survived by his parents Vicki and Ray, his sister and brother-in-law Rebecca and Tyler and his grandparents, Barbara and Ron Miller, and Raymond Reitenauer Jr.

 The family also wishes to thank the Shwachman-Diamond Syndrome Foundation, Primary Children’s Hospital, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, and St. George Regional Hospital.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the Shwachman-Diamond Syndrome Foundation. 

Services were Saturday, June 25,  at Pine View Mortuary, 566 North Mall Drive, St. George.
