Clifford Sylvester Kaiser

Clifford S. Kaiser passed away Thursday, May 26, 2022, in St. George, Utah. He was born in Saint Cloud, Minnesota, April 7, 1927, the son of Emil P. Kaiser and Eva Marie (LaPlante) Kaiser. He was reared in Stillwater, Minnesota, attended St. Thomas College and graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in electrical engineering.

He was employed by Bonneville Power Administration in Portland, Oregon, Ohio Edison Company in Akron, Ohio, and most recently by Nevada Power Company, Las Vegas, Nevada. He was a licensed professional engineer who enjoyed his work very much and was happy with what he had accomplished.

While at the university he met Donna L. Mahan, and they were married Sept. 27, 1952. Cliff was extremely dedicated to his family and his church. He was an active member of the St. George Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus and unselfishly gave time and assistance to those in need. After his retirement, he was a volunteer tutor in the public school system for several years. He liked hiking and camping in the mountains and open spaces of the West as well as traveling extensively throughout the U.S. and overseas, and he spent many enjoyable hours working in his yard.

He is survived by his daughter Pamela Witczak, sons Mark Kaiser and Daryl (Cheryl) Kaiser, brother Kenneth Kaiser and five grandchildren.

Interment will be at St. Michaels’ Cemetery in Bayport, Minnesota.
