Carrying on a family legacy in the jewelry trade that started in the 1930s, Brandon Adams Jewelry creates pieces that are as unique as the customers they serve. Adams and his wife, Tiffany, provide friendly and personal service combined with the design skill offered by leading jewelry shops in any major city.

The Adams moved from Las Vegas last spring and set up shop in the heart of downtown St. George. Opening a small-town jewelry shop was a dream they shared, and the design incorporated both of their ideas. They renovated the store entirely on their own, including building a studio with large open windows that allow customers to see the jeweler hard at work. From designing to 3D modeling and casting, everything is in plain sight.

“I wanted people to be able to watch the process,” Tiffany Adams said. “We don’t have anything to hide.”

The traditional way of crafting jewelry involves hand-carving wax blocks into whatever the piece is intended to look like. In the early 2000s, Brandon Adams was one of few jewelers using computer-aided design to bring ideas to life.

Computer-aided design still isn’t a technique that every jeweler uses, but it’s much more common in the trade today and is regarded as a reliable system for designing custom jewelry. However, not many jewelers can boast years of experience with the method like Adams.

Adams is a third-generation jeweler who blends Old World craftsmanship with cutting-edge technology. He performs all aspects of the design and creation and provides a rendering for approval before anything is built. Customers are updated every step of the way so there’s no guesswork and no surprises.

“We don’t source anything out,” Tiffany Adams said. “Brandon does everything right here in his shop.”

Although the shop offers plenty of beautiful pre-made pieces in their display cases, their specialty is custom design. The Adams are committed to helping customers capture the most important moments in their lives through timeless keepsakes. Some are beloved heirlooms given new life with a modern update, while others are specially created in remembrance of loved ones.

Technology opens the door to nearly infinite possibilities. Tiffany Adams recently helped design a ring for herself made from her parents’ wedding bands, adding a piece of their history into her own story.

One of the more memorable pieces she recalls was a sapphire ring brought in by an older woman for restoration. It was a gift from her 90-year-old husband, who had inherited it from his grandmother.

“It didn’t have just one story, but several,” she added. “We see pieces that have deep family roots and generations of love entwined.”

Another customer married a geologist who pans for gold as a hobby and had collected a few nuggets – not nearly enough to make a ring – that he wanted to incorporate into a custom piece. Brandon Adams used photo references of several rings that both the bride and groom liked to create a ring with small windows on the sides to show off the nuggets.

“I just don’t think that’s something you can do without that technology,” Tiffany Adams said. “People ask what he can make, and my answer is what can’t he make? I really believe there isn’t a piece that’s too difficult for him.”

Along with custom design, Brandon Adams Jewelry also performs repair work as quickly as the same day and offers expertise in all aspects of jewelry. Visit the shop at 412 E. St. George Blvd. to find out more.
