IVINS — Law enforcement officers from multiple agencies responded to the scene Wednesday afternoon when a body was discovered at Fire Lake Park at Ivins Reservoir.
St. George News spoke with Sgt. Reed Briggs of the Santa Clara Ivins Police Department. He confirmed a body indeed was discovered at the park. Briggs added that since the body was located on county land, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office will be handling the investigation. The county medical examiner was called to the scene as well.
No other details were available.
This was the second dead body found in the St. George area on Wednesday. As reported by St. George News, early Wednesday morning, St. George Police began an investigation after a female was found dead at a local residence.
