ST. GEORGE — Two drivers were cited after a collision on 383 South Mall Drive shortly before noon Thursday.
The collision involved a white Hyundai Sonata and a silver Dodge Grand Caravan, both heading southbound on Mall Drive. The Grand Caravan stopped in the travel lane to make a left turn when it was rear-ended by the Sonata, St. George Police officer Tiffany Mitchell said.
Both drivers received citations, Mitchell said. The Sonata’s driver was cited for following too closely and the Grand Caravan’s driver was cited for making an improper left turn.
There were two occupants in the Grand Caravan and one in the Sonata; all occupants reportedly were wearing seatbelts.
Possible minor injuries were reported but none of the occupants were transported to the hospital. Mitchell said one or more occupants from either vehicle may have transported themselves to the hospital for evaluation.
St. George Fire Department and Gold Cross also responded to the scene.
This report is based on information provided by law enforcement and may not contain the full scope of findings.
