Elward Lee

Aug. 10, 1948 – March 16, 2022

Elward Lee, age 73, passed away peacefully surrounded by his wife and two sons on March 16, 2022. He was born Aug. 10, 1948, in Hurricane, Utah, to Elword A. Lee and Roena Spendlove.

Elward lived in Virgin until his family moved to St. George while he was a young child. Ward learned to work cement from his father while working at Leeway Construction. He later worked for the City of St. George for 30-plus years.

Ward proudly served his country in the US Army fighting in the Vietnam War. 

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and hanging out with his family. He taught his sons to shoot guns, drive, appreciate nature and fix cars. Ward could fix just about anything.

Ward had two sons from two previous marriages, and he had two more with Lucinda, his wife of 46 years. He has nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Ward is survived by his wife Lucinda Hards Lee; his sons Sidney, William and Vance (Deserae); sister Dela (Val) Carpenter and brother Joe (Salley) Lee.

He is preceded in death by his parents Elword and Roena, his sister Dorothy and his son Michael.

A viewing will be held Thursday, March 24, 10-11 a.m. at Pine View Mortuary, 566 North Mall Drive, St George.

Interment will follow at Washington City Cemetery, 300 Park View Drive, Washington.
