“I’m thrilled about our Fox Sports lineup,” said Ben Lindquist, general manager of Canyon Media. “It features the best in national sports talk, and our local sports team of Kaden and Mark is amazing.”

Canyon Media launched Fox Sports Southern Utah in the summer of 2021 to provide fans with sports coverage around the clock. With stations in both St. George and Cedar City, it’s the area’s largest provider of radio sports content. Lindquist said the station already had top-notch syndicated hosts like Dan Patrick and Colin Cowherd on its lineup, but he wanted a local angle.

Enter “From the Bleachers,” a show where radio personalities Mark Musgrave, aka “The Voice You Know,” and Kaden Foremaster talk local, national and global sports news Monday through Friday from 4-6 p.m. The program highlights the best in Region 10 high school sports as well as college athletics. The hosts also discuss pro sports teams like the Jazz, Raiders and Golden Knights.

“‘From the Bleachers’ is a top-notch local sports talk show,” Lindquist said. “These guys know, love and can talk sports with the best of them.”

Each week, they choose the most compelling Region 10 games to broadcast.

“We’re on air, live and local,” Musgrave said. “I’ve gotten a lot of great comments out there; people are loving Fox Sports.”

But the dynamic duo can’t be everywhere at once, so they rely on trusted insiders to keep up with the wide variety of sports being played each season. They regularly invite guests on to highlight everything from golf to swimming, which Musgrave said listeners appreciate.

“They’re loving that we’re not just covering the three main sports of football, basketball and baseball,” he said. “We’re talking about sports like wrestling, tennis, volleyball.”

Foremaster invites listeners to call in at 435-990-9950 and chat about the teams, players and stories that get them excited. “From the Bleachers” is the place where Southern Utah sports fans can let their voices be heard.

Foremaster hopes listeners will think of himself and Musgrave not as experts, but enthusiasts. After all, they’re just a couple of local guys sitting in the bleachers with the rest of the fans.

“My favorite thing about it is having my hobby become my job,” Foremaster said. “I’m going to be talking about sports with my friends anyway; I’m just one of the people who’s lucky enough to get paid to do it.”
