Officers arrest trio after $7K in stolen merchandise, gift cards are recovered during traffic stop

ST. GEORGE — A traffic stop on a suspicious vehicle over the weekend led to the arrest of three suspects from Nevada, after officers recovered more than $7,000 in gift cards, brand new tools and merchandise allegedly taken from three retailers in St. George. The three have appeared in court and they remain in custody in Washington County.

Man arrested for pointing gun at green light dawdler

ST. GEORGE — A man was arrested for waving a handgun at another motorist on Tuesday, a confrontation that was allegedly set in motion when a driver had a momentary hesitation after a traffic light turned green on state Route 9 in Hurricane.
