Surveillance footage from the D&P Performance UTV and snowmobile dealership shows an eastbound vehicle striking a flatbed trailer parked on the street adjacent to the business, located at 110 E. Center.

The time stamp on the video indicates the crash happened just after 6 a.m. on Nov. 25.

D&P Performance business owner Laci Werner told Cedar City News the new 22-foot trailer, designed to hold up to four snowmobiles, was totaled in the crash.

“I can’t believe it didn’t hit my truck,” Werner said, noting that the pickup truck that was parked in front of the trailer was not damaged.

Werner said the suspect vehicle, based on video footage and pieces of the car that were left behind at the scene, is believed to be a 2006 or 2007 charcoal gray Honda two-door sedan, either a Civic or an Accord. The car sustained substantial front-end damage on the passenger side, including losing a headlight, a hubcap and a windshield wiper, she said.

Anyone who may have information about the vehicle or its driver is asked to contact Cedar City Police Department at 435-586-2956 and reference case number C21-03504.
