Suspicious package prompts investigation, lands St. George woman in jail

ST. GEORGE — A suspicious package at a shipping service office has led to the arrest of a St. George woman, after officers opened the parcel and allegedly found what appeared to be illegal drugs.

Broadcaster and realtor Brent Miner dies, part of family that owned Southern Utah radio station

ST. GEORGE — Broadcaster, realtor and St. George resident for over 50 years, L. Brent Miner, who was part of the family that owned KDXU-AM from 1968 to 1986 and went on to become a successful realtor and start a low power FM station that played his favorite jazz music, died Tuesday at his home in Bloomington. He was 69 years old.

Suspect in jail after multiple transactions caught on camera using stolen credit card

ST. GEORGE — A Hurricane man was arrested Wednesday following an investigation into allegations that a credit card turned up missing and then was used to make over $1,000 in purchases at a big-box retailer in Washington City, where each transaction was caught on security footage.

ST. GEORGE — The driver of a 2021 Ford Bronco was taken to the hospital by Intermountain Life Flight Saturday afternoon after the vehicle crashed and rolled over on the Sand Mountain OHV Area.
