CONTRIBUTED CONTENT — Shifting house trends spell good news for buyers who might have previously been priced out of the market.
With 17 years of experience buying and selling homes across Southern Utah, Red Rock Real Estate agent Tammie Richeson is no stranger to navigating changes in the housing market.

Southern Utah is currently experiencing a cooling real estate market, Richeson said, with twice as many properties for sale compared to just six months ago. New subdivisions are popping up everywhere. Sale prices are leveling out, and homes that would have sold in just a day or two earlier this year are now staying on the market for much longer. As a result, most locals are no longer having to compete with multiple offers on a property.
“If you’re looking for a new home, you’ll be excited to see multiple price reductions, even daily, on properties that are move-in ready,” Richeson said.
What does all this mean for the average homebuyer? Richeson said now is the time to buy, and having a seasoned real estate professional in your corner will help you get the most for your money.
