And for a limited time, customers can buy one, get one free on all marked CBD products while supplies last. Cloud 9 has three locations serving Southern Utah and the surrounding area: Washington City, Cedar City and Mesquite, Nevada.

“We have a huge inventory of CBD products for different specific purposes,” owner Brendon Gunn said.

Cloud 9 launched in 2013 with the mission of providing tobacco alternative products to Southern Utah customers. As the business grew, Gunn said they began selling CBD products in response to an overwhelming demand from people exploring nonpharmaceutical solutions.

“Many people realized that there were a lot of CBD products out there that were helping them in ways they couldn’t imagine,” he said. “They found that alternative to be a better, more natural and more cost-effective way to find the same relief they were finding in medications prescribed by their doctor.”

Cloud 9 carries products from Savage CBD, Hemplucid and other popular brands. Options range from drops to gummies to salves, and unlike many retailers, they also have a specific license to sell CBD products.

“Our focus at Cloud 9 is and always has been to sell products that we know come from authentic manufacturers,” Gunn said. “We carry products that we believe work as described and directed.”

Cloud 9 offers both CBD isolate and full-spectrum CBD products. CBD isolate is the purest, most refined form of CBD and contains no other cannabis plant compounds.

Full-spectrum CBD products contain multiple cannabis plant extracts, including essential oils, terpenes, flavonoids and other cannabinoids like THC, although in very low amounts. These extracts provide a variety of unique scents and flavors. Some also have additives, like melatonin for better sleep. Gunn said many consumers report additional wellness benefits from the blend of ingredients, a theory known as the “entourage effect.”

When it comes to the type of CBD and the method of delivery, Gunn said the most important thing is finding whatever works best for each individual. The wide variety of options may be confusing at first, but the knowledgeable staff at Cloud 9 is ready to explain it all.

“A lot of customers have found success with either type of CBD products,” he said. “Our customer service staff and experts have been trained to ask people the right questions to lead them toward the product that fits their needs.”

Cloud 9 carries a broad spectrum of products in addition to CBD, including starter kits, tanks, batteries, chargers, coils and more than 100 flavor options. They also mix custom flavors on the spot in “The Lab” at each of their three locations, allowing the customer to choose the exact increment of nicotine they prefer – or none at all.

After eight years in business, Gunn said Cloud 9 has built a solid reputation on the quality of both the products and service that they provide. Instead of selling customers what they want them to buy, they provide people with what they need.

Everyone at Cloud 9 truly cares about the well-being of their patrons, Gunn said, and the customer service experience they offer is unsurpassed by any other business of their type. He expressed gratitude for the continued support of the Southern Utah community despite the hardships of 2020.

“We’re very proud to be a part of this community and to be able to serve this community,” he said. “We appreciate our customer base and their loyalty in keeping our business alive and well and giving us the opportunity to continue to provide the best products and customer service imaginable.”
