CONTRIBUTED CONTENT — After a summer of red-hot deals, the “Red Tag” sales event at Stephen Wade Auto Center wrapped up with one last giveaway Saturday.
Throughout the past five weeks, Stephen Wade Auto Center has awarded a total of $5,000 in cash to five grand prize winners, along with five adventure prize packages provided by local businesses. At the final giveaway on Saturday, Trinity West walked away with $1,000 in cash, and runner-up Chelsey Durand took home a $300 gift card to the St. George Running Center and a 50-inch 4K smart television.
“The reverse drawings can be very suspenseful because you don’t want your number to be called until the very end,” said Jamie Bahlmann, public relations director for the Stephen Wade Auto Center. “But it makes it fun to watch their reactions when they win.”
Prize winners were chosen from a field of 50 randomly selected entries via a weekly online contest. To qualify, participants were asked to follow Stephen Wade Auto Center on social media and post a selfie at specific “Red Tag” locations in the St. George area using the hashtag #WadeRedTag. A few qualifying spots were also awarded to lucky listeners of Canyon Media radio stations, including 99.9 KONY Country, Sunny 101.5 and Planet 105.1.
Now in its fifth year, the Red Tag sales event begins each July, which Bahlmann told St. George News is the best time of year to buy a new car or truck due to generous manufacturer incentives and unparalleled discounts on all Stephen Wade lots.
Sponsors for this year’s Red Tag promotion included Nielson RV, Hurst Ace Hardware, the St. George Running Center, the Lifetime Store and Two Palms Rentals.
“I would like to thank all of our partnering businesses for providing great prizes during the Red Tag sales event,” Bahlmann said, adding that even though the Red Tag sale is over, Stephen Wade Auto Center will continue to offer a great selection of vehicles at low prices – just one more reason “you’ve got it made at Stephen Wade.”
