Win your share of ‘$5K over 5 days’ and find amazing deals at Stephen Wade’s 5th annual ‘Red Tag’ sale

CONTRIBUTED CONTENT — The temperature outside in Southern Utah is turning hot, which means it’s time for the red balloons and red hot deals people have come to expect at Stephen Wade Auto Center’s summertime “Red Tag” sales event.

Stephen Wade Auto Center’s fifth annual promotion kicked off with a bang on the Fourth of July. With Canyon Media DJs from Planet 105.1 on hand to emcee, a small crowd of socially distanced and masked attendees eagerly waited inside the Stephen Wade Toyota showroom for a chance to win a number of prizes, including their share of the “$5K in 5 days.”

The Red Tag sales event begins each July and offers amazing deals on every new and used vehicle in Stephen Wade Auto Center’s inventory — which can be found anytime online. It also gives participants a shot at some great prizes, including a chance to win $1,000 a week over the span of five consecutive weeks.

Stephen Wade Auto Center’s marketing director Jamie Bahlmann told St. George News that because of great manufacturer incentives, July is typically the best time to purchase a vehicle, and the Red Tag sale is their way of getting the community involved and excited about purchasing that new car or truck they’ve been wanting.

“It’s the best time of the year to buy a car,” Bahlmann said. “We mark everything down to the lowest price possible.”

Saturday’s opening giveaway event was huge success, she said, and Sierra Smith rolled away from the dealership with the promotion’s first $1,000 grand prize.

Runner-up Hanna Stevens won a paddle board from The Lifetime Store, and a Megaplex movie theater package went to another winner. More movie packages and adventure packages will be given away with another $1,000 every week until Aug. 1.

Qualifying is simple. Interested participants only need to “like” and follow any participating Stephen Wade dealership on social media and take either a picture of a Stephen Wade red tag or a “selfie” at any of the red tag locations around town. The selfie must then be publicly posted on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter using the hashtag #WadeRedTag.

Selfie stations will be located at Red Cliffs Mall, the Washington City Community Center and all of Stephen Wade’s St. George dealerships.

Also, similar to previous years, people can qualify by listening for opportunities on their favorite Canyon Media radio stations, like 99.9 KONY Country and Sunny 101.5.

No purchase is ever necessary; however, qualifiers will be notified each week and must be present to win a prize.

On July 11, an RV rental from Neilson RV will be up for grabs. July 18 offers a chance at an ATV rental from Two Palms Rentals, and a camping package from Hurst Ace Hardware can be won on July 25. The prize for the Aug. 1 drawing has yet to be announced.

Bahlmann said she hopes everyone will come out and have some fun and take advantage of the once-a-year savings.

“We look forward to this event,” she said. “We have so many great things that happen during the month of July.”

She said it is just one more reason “You’ve got it made at Stephen Wade.”
