ST. GEORGE — Wrapping up three weeks of red, hot savings and celebrations, 95.9 the Hawk DJs Peter Gunn and Bill Cash gave away the final $5,000 prize during Stephen Wade Auto Center’s “$15K in 15 days” annual sales event.
Hundreds qualified during this year’s giveaway event by listening to their favorite Canyon Media radio stations and flooding various Stephen Wade social media pages with likes and pictures from #WadeRedTag selfie stations across St. George. In the end, it came down to only three.
During the first week of giveaways held at Stephen Wade Toyota, it was Planet 105.1 listener and mother Nancy Wilson who won $5,000. Smiling with excitement, she said she planned on using the prize toward a down payment on her daughter’s new car.
The following weekend, it was lucky No. 1, Santiago Estrada, who walked away a winner in front of a packed room of well-wishers at Stephen Wade Chevrolet. Estrada was surprised by the win and said he had no set plans to spend the money — except maybe on some bills.
At the final celebration Saturday at Stephen Wade Honda, Tru Espinosa received the final $5,000 prize.
This is the fourth year of Stephen Wade’s “Red Tag” sale. Stephen Wade Auto Center’s marketing manager Jamie Bahlmann said the event has been a huge success, and they are extending the deals on new and used vehicles until Aug. 3. They want to make sure everyone can have a chance to get in on the once-a-year savings.
