John F. Shaw Jr., 62, passed away June 25, 2019, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

He was born on February 8, 1957 in Nyssa, Oregon to John F. Shaw and Julia P. Shaw. He graduated from Alexander Hamilton High School in Los Angeles and then served in the Army for six years in the Army Security Agency. He then studied at California State University, Bakersfield, where he earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees.

His career consisted of finance, IT management and food manufacturing management serving at such companies as Litehouse Foods in Sandpoint, Idaho, and Hurricane, Utah; Dean Foods in St. George, Utah; and Desert Gold Food Company in Las Vegas.

He also fulfilled a calling of pastoring at Calvary Chapel in St. George.

He is survived by his wife, Mia Shaw, his children Samuel Shaw, Nichole Shaw, and Angela Shaw, his granddaughter Emma Shaw, his father John F. Shaw, and his siblings, Jeff Shaw, Juliann Phillips, James Shaw, and Jennifer Shaw.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, July 20, at 11 a.m. at Calvary Chapel St. George, 3922 Pioneer Road, St. George, Utah.
