ST. GEORGE — Four people, including a 4-year-old child, left the scene of a crash in St. George with minimal injuries Saturday.
According to witnesses at the scene, a silver Jeep Wrangler was traveling southbound on River Road around 4 p.m. when the driver of a gray Toyota Camry in the northbound lane reportedly failed to yield to oncoming traffic when making a left turn onto Fort Pierce Drive.
As the Jeep was approaching the intersection, a passenger in the Jeep said the light turned yellow, but the vehicle was traveling too fast to stop.
The driver of the Jeep said she swerved to avoid colliding with the Toyota but was unable to evade the car. The Jeep clipped the Toyota on the driver’s side, and the force of the crash caused the Jeep to roll onto its top before landing on its wheels parallel to Fort Pierce Drive.
There were three occupants in the Jeep, including a 4-year-old boy in the backseat.
No occupants were transported to the hospital, and the only injuries reported were minor scrapes and bruises.
This report is based on statements from witnesses and may not contain the full scope of findings.
