ST. GEORGE — Police officers are investigating an early-morning incident at the Little Caesars restaurant on 700 South that left windows in the lobby and drive-thru shattered.
Update 5:55 p.m. Police have arrested 48-year-old Brannon Marlow for reportedly smashing the windows with a baseball bat, St. George Police officer Tiffany Atkin said.
Several St. George Police officers responded after a passerby noticed the busted-out windows and alerted authorities around 7:30 a.m. Saturday, St. George Police Sgt. David Williams said.
“As it stands right now, we’re just trying to collect evidence, see what happened, maybe the method of how it was done,” Williams said.
The incident is believed to have taken place between 2:30-4:30 a.m., he said.
As a part of their investigation, officers will be reviewing security camera footage from the restaurant and the surrounding area.
Wes Swaney, owner of the Little Caesars on 700 South, said there were several security cameras in the area in addition to the pizza shop’s own.
“At this point it just looks like vandalism,” Swaney said. “Nothing was taken.”
While the lobby will be closed and boarded up until the windows can be replaced Monday, Swaney said the drive-thru will remain open – it just may open a little later in the day than usual.
