Are you getting ready to head off to college after summer but sweating the huge expense?

Do you know someone who could use a little help this year with their tuition but don’t know where to turn?

After being chosen the Gold Best Law Firm and Gold Best Personal Injury Attorney in the area during this year’s inaugural Best of Southern Utah competition, grateful owners Kevin Swenson and Brian Shelley wanted to find some way to give back to the community for its continued support and trust.

To celebrate, they are giving away $2,019 in scholarships to three deserving people to be used for the 2019-20 school year to the college, university or trade school of their choosing. One grand prize of $1,019 and two runner up prizes worth $500 each will be awarded.

“We appreciate everyone voting for us in Best of Southern Utah,” Swenson said.

He said the scholarship giveaway can be applied for easily online for the next 25 days and is open to anyone wanting to further their education. They must be a resident of Utah attending school in any of the 50 U.S. states and the District of Columbia or anyone attending a college, university or other specialty school located within the state.

“As a payback to you, this is what we’re doing,” Swenson said.

The scholarship will be awarded directly to the winner’s school of choice to be applied toward tuition and fees for the 2019-20 academic year.

All entries must be received by June 30 and winners will be announced on St. George News during the first week of July.
