ST. GEORGE — The St. George Area Chamber of Commerce’s annual business summit and marketplace event is returning to St. George next week.

Advocating for local business, supporting a healthy economy and facilitating sustainable growth are key priorities for the St. George Area Chamber of Commerce, the chamber said in a press release. The chamber gathers for its annual “Business Summit & St. George Marketplace” in order to advance these initiatives.

Held at the Dixie Convention Center June 19, the all-day event will provide the opportunity for small business owners, managers and entrepreneurs to network and learn about new tools, tactics and strategies, gain practical skills and make connections to help support the growth of small business in Southern Utah.

This year’s focus is on recession-proofing your business.

Keynote speakers and 12 breakout sessions will be available in four different time slots. Breakfast and lunch are included. More information about the summit is available on the chamber’s website.

The event goes from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the main expo hall. The public is invited to attend this free event, which includes hourly drawings. Many individual vendors will also conduct promotional giveaways at their individual booths. Booths can be reserved online.

“It’s truly a marketplace for everyone,” Pam Palermo, president and CEO of the St. George Area Chamber of Commerce, said in the press release. “From young mothers looking to entertain their children during the summer break, to those in the business community seeking connections; and our retired population who want to keep up on what’s happening in Southern Utah, this is the place to be June 19.”
