ST. GEORGE — A father and son have teamed up to showcase all that Southern Utah has to offer in a new app that is set to launch in early June.

The free app, called EnjoyMore, is a hub of information the founders hope will be considered a one-stop shop for users to learn more about local businesses, events and services in Southern Utah.

Landon Fausett said he and his father, both of whom are from St. George, have wanted to design a product like EnjoyMore for quite some time, but everything fell into place just within the last five years. He said Southern Utah is the perfect place to launch an app like this because of the diversity and the number of opportunities.

EnjoyMore will benefit visitors by finding restaurants and other activities outside of popular locations like Zion National Park, Fausett said. Locals will also see advantages to using the app as it can help them avoid getting into routines.

“EnjoyMore is about elevating the lives of individuals and families through great deals and memorable moments.”

By helping people branch out, Fausett said he hopes EnjoyMore will aid users in creating more memories and improving their lifestyles. The app is meant to link popular adventure destinations with local businesses.

He said social media has changed the way people learn about businesses and locations, but it has also limited the way most people find new places to go. Going outside makes people feel better, and in the age of social media, it’s easy to be hard on ourselves and tear ourselves down. But Fausett said EnjoyMore is hoping to get people out and about, feeling better and reaching their potentials.

“Don’t put your phone down; take it with you,” Fausett said. “Go on a hike, take a cool picture, post that picture. Post yourself outside enjoying more.”

He said what sets EnjoyMore apart from other apps or companies is that the team wants people to go out and develop relationships with others and the community.

Since neither of the founders are app developers, they employed a company to develop their dream app for Android and iPhone. Vcinch is a technical startup that is set to launch in early July and is working with EnjoyMore. The company works primarily in digital transformations, e-commerce application development and digital marketing, according to its website.

Fausett said the team has taken the time to make the app user friendly and expansive, so it does not isolate any particular audience. And although the app is targeted for everyone, regardless of age or gender, families will especially appreciate EnjoyMore.

He said kids might be easily entertained by playing in the dirt or on the playground, but families can make memories at nearby splash pads or any number of other opportunities in Southern Utah, and EnjoyMore wants to help families find the perfect excursion to make that possible.

The idea came from Fausett’s father, who used to say that he knew his mother – Fausett’s grandmother – wished she could have done more for and with the family. Fausett said he thinks his father feels the same way.

Fausett said he realizes his father and grandmother wish they could have done more for their families with the little money they had, but they don’t want other families to feel the same way.

“You don’t have to go far. You don’t have to spend a lot of money. There is so much happening in Southern Utah.”

The app has a number of different categories, including dining, shopping and automobile. Users can select a category and scroll through local businesses. Business pages include the logo, a description, contact information and sometimes coupons.

EnjoyMore also has a “plan” feature which allows users to schedule a trip to a local park, lunch at a specific restaurant or a day of shopping at an in-town boutique in their phones’ calendars. The feature will help users manage their time more efficiently while scrolling through the app.

The website advises users to allow the app to know their current location, because businesses and adventures will be sorted by which is closest.

The app is free to users and funded by businesses that are featured in the app for a monthly fee. Businesses who want to be featured in the app can reach out to Fausett at [email protected]. The first 100 businesses will get pre-launch special pricing at $49.99 per month.
