UPDATE: Officials report that missing man with dementia has been found

ST. GEORGE — Authorities are asking for the public’s help in locating a 90-year-old man with dementia who went missing Wednesday morning.

Update | 2:18 p.m. | The missing man has been found, according to an alert issued by the Washington County emergency services.

George Aposhian was last seen in the area of the Green Springs Golf Course in Washington City around 10 a.m. He was seen wearing all red, plaid pajamas, according to a notice shared by the St. George Police Department.

He is not familiar with the area and has both dementia and diabetes.

“If you live in or around this area, please look around your homes/yards/businesses,” the St. George Police Department stated on the post.

Washington City’s police and fire departments, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and its Search and Rescue team, and St. George Police are involved in the search, as is an Intermountain Life Flight helicopter.

Anyone may have seen or located Aposhian is asked to contact the Washington City Police Department at 435-627-4300 and reference incident number 19Z004186.
