ST. GEORGE — Mohave County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a Colorado City man Thursday morning after receiving a call regarding alleged sexual abuse.
Deputies were called to the block of 400 E. 2200 South at 7:15 a.m. where Carlos Jaime Henderson, 30, was arrested for a felony charge of sexual abuse. The victim is a juvenile female.
The father of the victim contacted police after his daughter, who was staying with family in the residence, called him to report the offense.
While speaking to detectives, the victim reported that she awoke to Henderson inappropriately touching her and attempting to remove her clothes.
After leaving the room, the victim reported that Henderson followed her, began to yell at her and attempted to grab her face. She fled on foot.

Officials arrived on the scene, and Henderson was arrested and booked into the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility without incident.
Anita Mortensen, public information specialist for the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office, said the investigation is ongoing.
She said Henderson was still being housed in the detention center as of Tuesday afternoon.
This report is based on statements from police or other responders and may not contain the full scope of findings. Persons arrested or charged are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law or as otherwise decided by a trier-of-fact.
